![]() The Sesame Ahi Tuna has a wonderful depth of flavor and a sesame seed crust that introduces an excellent texture balance. Still, it’s hard to imagine it getting any better than the unadorned flavor of this expertly grilled, superbly juicy steak. There are plenty of ways to dress up your steak at Eddie Merlot’s should you choose to do so you can “Sauce It” with classics like béarnaise, peppercorn, or chimichurri “Top It” with intriguing concoctions like bacon gorgonzola cheese, foie gras butter, or caramelized onions and mushrooms or “Surf It” with a sautéed crab cake, a half-pound of king crab legs, or a 10-ounce coldwater lobster tail. Mouthwateringly juicy and tender for a strip, this is prime meat, beautifully prepared. It’s a complex combination of flavors and textures, tasty, refreshing, and heartier than one typically considers a chopped salad.įor dinner, there was no way to pass up the 20-ounce reserve cut of Greg Norman Wagyu Bone-in New York Strip steak. The flavor is rounded out by chunks of Gruyère cheese, crispy crumbles of prosciutto, and artichoke hearts. Their signature Chopped salad combines fresh lettuce, red onion, celery, tomatoes, and seasoned almonds in a pleasantly sweet herb dressing. The crunch of the wonton gives way to a savory piece of meat that’s nicely accented by the sauce. The Filet Mignon Potstickers wrap morsels of their prime beef in perfectly browned wonton wrappers drizzled in a tangy soy-based sauce. It’s grounded in the smoky tastes of BBQ and bacon, which last long into the bite before resolving into the delicacy of fresh shrimp. The Barbeque Shrimp are wrapped in crispy bacon and lathered with Southern Comfort barbeque sauce. We first enjoyed their balance of steak and seafood flavors right from the appetizers menu. ![]() They have four featured wines every month and a half and have just started offering flights of all of them. The depth of the wine list is reflected in the floor-to-ceiling wall of wine at the back wall, with a rolling library ladder to access all the bottles. The expanded dinner menu highlights their line-up of prime-aged steaks, aged a minimum of 21 days. To the left is a vaulted ceiling dining room surrounded by framed stained glass, with large modern chandeliers and freestanding wooden pillars. ![]() The mood is light and easy, and the menu is paired back to charcuterie, small plates, flatbreads, and burgers and sandwiches, including a section of burgers and hot dogs crafted from Greg Norman Signature Wagyu beef. To the right is a casual bar and lounge, bathed in relaxing amber light. As you step through the door of Eddie Merlot’s, you can choose the kind of evening you want to have.
